April 27, 2010:

Well it's been a couple of months and we have been very busy. We are looking for an exciting season.  We should start picking blackberries in Mid-May and peaches and plums should start coming off in June.

February 20, 2010:

As you can tell, we got extremely busy after my last post last year.  I will do better this year.  We are excited for the up coming Spring and Summer (not to mention we are ready for warmer weather).  We did plant another new peach variety.. Cary Mac, this peach won't be ready for another 3 years.  We also planted a few plumcot trees.  In a few years we will get to enjoy those.  I don't know a whole lot about them so I look forward to when they produce.

We do have pruning and thinning to do before we see you.  Check back to our website for the latest updates.  Take care and God bless!

Just a note, I lost my job to outsourcing in November 2008 so I'm looking forward to getting the orchard ready for the upcoming season.

In December and January there wasn't a whole lot of things to do except plants the berries.

Feb 16, 2009

Hey it's 2009 and we are looking forward to the new years harvest.  We planted 7 new rows of black berries and planted 176 peach trees.   In the coming year we will look at planting blue berries. We have to see what varieties will grow and produce in this area.   But in the mean time we will have plenty of black berries this year and next year the berries we planted this year will be ready for production next year.   I will start to prune the trees this week.  Right now with the mild weather I'm praying the trees won't bloom.

Feb 2009 thur May 8,2009...

Well we have had a lot of work going on...thinning, pruning, mowing, etc.  We are soon approaching the harvest season.  We have black berries turning black getting ready to come off.  About 10 day we should have berries and peaches and plums.

June 11, 2009

We are harvesting peaches, plums and blackberries.  God has blessed us greatly this year.  He is so good!  We give thanks for all He has done in our lives and thank everyone who has come out and has picked berries and purchased plums and peaches.  Bless each and everyone of you.  It has been a pleasure meeting you.  I hope you will come again.  We will have peaches until mid August.  We will probably have plums until July maybe and blackberries until July 5th, maybe.  Every year with the blackberries are a little bit different.

Thank you again and hope to see you!!
